To start the SiteBuilder
Just
click here
Go through the wizard step by step.
1. Chose your design
Chose your layout, color theme, banner, buttons, logo, flash-intro and
info here.
2.
Sites
Here you can define the structure of your website. Chose "Add new site"
and select "HTML-Page", "Gallery-Page"
or "Shop-Page". Now continue in step 3.
3. Edit content:
Here you can add all the modules like Blogger, Counter, Feedback,
Bulletin-Board, Guest-book, RSS Reader, Script and
Voting. All modules are shown as positions-field during editing. When you
click on "Preview", you will see the Page with
the Modules. NOTICE: Please deactivate your Pop-Up-Blocker, because
otherwise the preview function won't work properly.

4. Set extras:
Here you can enter informations that are relevant for the search-engine
i.e. keywords, description etc.
5. Publish:
Here you will get additional informations about how your site can be
accessed. You will get a temporary address i.e.
http://564fder456rtf4.sitebuilder.bighosting.biz. In this example, your
site-identity is "564fder456rtf4".
We recommend you to change this identity to an easier name. You can do
this by clicking on the "Change Site Identity"
button.
After that, your temporary address may look like this:
http://swisscore.sitebuilder.bighosting.biz.
Of course you can still edit your site, on your
temporary address you will find a button " Edit",
use this to edit your site.
After you have paid your hosting package and the sitebuilder, at step 5 a
new field will appear. This field is for your FTP
login
data. With this, you can upload your site before it is removed.
Following informations have to be entered:
FTP-Hostname: Your domain name
FTP-Login: FTP-Username
FTP-Password: FTP-Password
FTP-Directory: Target directory
Example:
FTP-Hostname:
ftp.swisscore.ch
FTP-Login: sonne
FTP-Password: your password
FTP-Directory: /httpdocs
Of course you can publish your site also to a
sub-directory like for example /httpdocs/top10
After upload, the example site would be availeable at the following URL:
http://www.swisscore.ch
